Massage during pregnancy can be extremely beneficial for mums to be and their bumps! It's a great source of relaxation, stress relief and can be used to help relieve aches and pains.
Treatments are focused on the client's needs - providing relief for problem areas or general relaxation. Gentle stretching and appropriate massage techniques are used to release trigger points and restrictions in tissue and muscles. A regular massage table is used and clients are treated lying on their sides with as many cushions and bolsters as necessary.
Pregnancy massage can help with:
- neck and shoulder pain
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- mid back and low back pain
- pelvic and sciatic pain
- swollen feet
- headaches and blocked sinuses
I have been a massage therapist since 2006 and qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2017. The human body and the reasons why we can end up in pain fascinate me. Trauma, illness, postural patterns, stress and anxiety can all result in acute and chronic pain. Over the years I have completed extensive training - learning different techniques for helping people get out of pain and become more mobile.Learn more about me
